EVENT DETAILS |
The #MeToo movement, high-profile company leadership changes, & the growth of worker organizing efforts have recently rocked the tech industry. These efforts have brought to light the challenges the industry still faces in fostering an inclusive & diverse community for workers, especially for LGBTQ+ people, women, people of color, & people from working class backgrounds. The latest QX event brings together researchers, tech workers, & organizers to discuss the historical roots of these issues, the cultural context surrounding them today, & the efforts under way to make the tech industry a welcoming place for workers, with a special focus on queer activism.
Join us for a panel discussion, Q&A, & networking time. Please bring a $5 donation to support the panelists & refreshments if you can!
