EVENT DETAILS |
Meet Erika Balbuena & learn how you can access & use Twilio's powerful tools for good, & find out more about their funding strategy.
Erika is the Head of Strategic Initiatives at Twilio.org, where she supports organizations who use communications to fuel hope, power & freedom. That impact is accomplished by getting developers to code a better world, granting to nonprofits, & being on the cutting edge of funding social enterprises through impact investing. She is a co-founder of Women @ Twilio (Twilio's women-identified Employee Resource Group), which works across the company to support & advance women at Twilio. Prior to Twilio, she sharpened her community management & operations skills at TaskRabbit & consulted for large & small nonprofits, including The Campaign for UCSF Medical Center.
Erika's mission is to create a seat at HER table for underrepresented women of color. She does this through mentorship & board service & her project, The Only (theonlyproject.co). Erika served as the Co-Chair of the board for R.O.C.K. SF (provides after school & summer programs to K-12 kids in Visitaction Valley) for the past 5 years. Erika is a proud San Francisco native, foodie & outdoor lover.
