Join us on Livestream as the Metis Seattle team walks you through a sampling of what students learn during their 12 weeks of project-based data science work. You'll also hear from Metis alumni about how to prepare, what to expect, & what happens after you attend the Metis Data Science Bootcamp. Metis alum Jhonsen Djajamuliadi will present his final project at Metis & then will join Carlie Badder for a Q&A panel.

About our alumni

Carlie is a Data Scientist at Avanade. She has a passion for machine learning, translating data into insights, & making a difference in people's days. Her data science skill set is built upon a broad background of knowledge ranging from mechanical engineering & medical sciences to research & customer service. She loves being a part of multidisciplinary teams that value crossover & skill sharing, doing the dirty work & having big picture discussions. She graduated from the school of Engineering & Applied Sciences at the University of Pennsylvanian.

Jhonsen is a recent Metis graduate with a unique background in Chemistry. His graduate studies focused on applying both experimental & computational techniques to solve protein structures. Data-driven research eventually led him into the world of data science & machine learning. The capstone project he will present at the Open House uses convolutional neural network to identify images of produce & provides a recommendation for personalized, healthier- ingredient-based recipes.
