We'll talk about the opportunities & challenges our panelists encountered in the different stages of their careers, why they chose the paths that they chose, & what advice they have for other women in the field--including how to reach their level :)

Panelists:
Chithra Venkatesan, Software Engineer at Tictail
Chithra is a software engineer at Tictail, a marketplace for emerging brands & designers. She dabbles in a number of things, including triathlons, hand-lettering, & film-photography. Chithra loves that her career empowers her to conceptualize & create things on the internet that are used by real people around the world. Having recently transitioned into software engineering from project management, she is always excited to encourage others to follow their dreams!

Ashi Krishnan, Senior Software Engineer at GitHub
Ashi is a visual poet who has been telling stories with code & words since she was a childperhaps before. She has worked at seven-person startups, fought fires in the trenches of SRE at Google, & spent the last three years teaching at coding bootcamps. She now works as a senior software engineer at GitHub, where she hopes to break down the walls between us & our tools. She is learning to regard every moment, & the creatures within them, with love.

Kimberly Peterson, Director of Engineering at Percolate
Kimberly Peterson is Director of Engineering at Percolate, responsible for Work Management & Collaboration. She is passionate about diversity in Engineering & individuals with unconventional paths to Engineering as a career. Prior to Percolate, she was CTO of Magnify Networks, a SaaS video platform, & spent years working at boutique consultancies building web applications for early stage startups.
