EVENT DETAILS |
Join us on Saturday, 3 March 2018, for NYC School of Data - a community technology conference that demystifies complex ideas & fosters local civic engagement.
This community-driven conference is organized by BetaNYC - NYC's Civic technology, data, & design community. Our conversations & workshops will empower you to improve our neighborhoods & our lives. The day is framed to celebrate NYC's transformative open data law & International Open Data Day, while kicking off NYC's second annual open data week.
This year's conversations will focus on four key areas: digital literacy & privacy, smart & wise cities, effective & open government, & civic & government technology.
In addition to 12 exciting panels & workshops, all participants are welcomed to a #hackhall - a daylong open space for open source civic & government technology projects. In the #hackhall, you will collaborate, connect to new libraries/projects, & improve open source projects. All participants will be served a light breakfast & lunch.
