Speakers

Ricky Stephens, Founder @ AgTech X
Ricky spent four years withRed Ventures, a leader in digital marketing & sales technology, where he helped to launch & scale RV's first international office in Sao Paulo as Manager of Marketing Analytics. Upon moving back to New York in August of 2016, Ricky shifted gears to focus his attention on the intersection of food, technology, & sustainability, teaming up with urban agriculture guru Henry Gordon-Smith to launch AgTech X in early 2017.

Simonne Hurse, VP Marketing & PR Communications at Satis Group
I've eaten curry w the former CTO of the USA, had my first taste of VR w the Scobleizer himself, & chased Seth Godin down an elevator (he agreed to coffee, so it worked out). My friends call me Sim, & this is how I roll.
I've built/helped build a bunch of companies & initiatives (meural.com the latest), always in tech & always on the people side. All this experience is now powering my work in crypto & blockchain. Community/Marketing/leading + building teams is my sweet spot. My network is solid - I'm a good friend to have, & I treat people the way I would like to be treated :)
I'm part of/founding member of a number of crypto/blockchain groups, I speak at a bunch of events, & I've just joined the extraordinary team at Satis Group (satisgroup.io). I regularly plug interesting folk in to the crypto ecosystem, with the goal of helping smart & thoughtful people work together.
I really really care about getting more women involved in all this, & I co-run a group for women in tech here in NYC, with around 1900 members. We're always looking for excellent speakers + companies to sponsor the group, please get in touch if you'd like to get involved.

Sylvia Morse, Project Coordinator in CFL's Cooperative Development Program
Sylvia Morse is the Project Coordinator in CFL's Cooperative Development Program, where she is helping to implement initiatives to scale immigrant worker-owned cooperative businesses in New York City & nationally. Since September 2016, she has focused her time on the development of Up & Go, a web app for booking home services from worker cooperatives. Prior to joining CFL, Sylvia worked in housing policy & participatory planning. Sylvia is a lifelong New Yorker, & earned her Master's Degree in Urban Planning from the City University of New York Hunter College.

Up & Go
Up & Go is a web application for consumers in New York City to book high-quality home cleaning services directly from cleaning professionals. Up & Go is owned by local, women-owned, worker-owned businesses, filling the gap in the digital gig economy for a trustworthy, high-quality on-demand booking platform. The quality of service is superior because workers earn living wages & are invested in the success of their work. Workers are not any user with a smartphone, but rather local business owners who receive ongoing training & peer quality monitoring.
