Ryley Reynolds, Investor at Thrive Capital - Thrive Capital is venture capital investment firm focused on media & internet investments. It was founded by Joshua Kushner in 2009 & has invested in many tech darlings like GitHub, Slack, ClassPass, Harry's, Patreon, & Instagram. Ryley joined Thrive Capital as an Investor in September. Prior to Thrive, Ryley was an associate at Insight Venture Partners.
Nnamdi Okike, Co-founder of 645 Ventures (@nokike) - 645 Ventures is a seed & early-stage venture capital fund that invests in software & Internet companies. 645 was founded in 2013 by Nnamdi & Aaron Holiday. They've invested in startups like Abacus, MM.LaFleur, Nanit, & ALICE (acquired by Expedia). Prior to founding 645 Ventures, Nnamdi spent eight years at Insight Venture Partners.
Chantel Waterbury, Founder & CEO of Chloe + Isabel (@chantelchloe) - Chloe + Isabel is a jewelry lifestyle brand. Their original pieces are designed in-house in New York City & sold online & through a nationwide network of merchandisers. Chantel launched Chloe+Isabel in 2011 & they've raised $32 million in funding since then. Their most recent funding round was a $15 million Series C led by SoftBank Capital.
Rocky Motwani, Co-founder & CFO of MyJiko (@rocky_motwani) - Jiko is a personal bank & debit card founded by Rocky Motwani & Stephanie Litner, who have previous experience at Goldman Sachs & J.P. Morgan. They recently raised a $7.7 million Series A from Upfront Ventures, Social Capital, Radicle Impact, & Embark Ventures.
(Guest Moderator) Charlie O'Donnell, Partner at Brooklyn Bridge Ventures (@ceonyc) - Charlie O'Donnell has been an active member of the NYC startup community for over a decade. He is the sole Partner & Founder at Brooklyn Bridge Ventures. Brooklyn Bridge invested in the first rounds of Canary, Orchard Platform, Tinybop, Hungryroot, Clubhouse, Ringly, & goTenna among others. Prior to Brooklyn Bridge VC, Charlie has venture experience at Union Square Ventures & First Round Capital.
