EVENT DETAILS
Hi All - This event was originally going to be held during GDC week back in March but had to be postponed. Excited to be hosting this event virtually during GDC Summer on Aug 4th.

Games have always been at the forefront of AI & they serve as a good testing bed for AI before we put it to use in the real world. Therefore, its natural to look into gaming to peek into new techniques being discovered in AI. What started with self-learning AI in games has now translated into solving real-world problems in computer vision, natural language processing, & self-driving cars. Join us during GDC Summer for a meetup that will bring people who are at the intersection of gaming & deep learning so that game developers can learn how to start utilizing cutting-edge AI research in their development process to create a more immersive experience.

Speakers:

Zohaib Ahmed - Zohaib is the founder & CEO of Resemble AI (www.resemble.ai), a synthetic speech startup. Before founding Resemble, Zohaib led engineering teams at Magic Leap, Hipmunk & Blackberry.

He is also exploring new directions in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, after having led & built companies in a variety of spaces such as real-time graphics, hardware, & signal processing.

Dr. Srinath Sridhar- Srinath Sridhar is a postdoctoral researcher at Stanford University where he is advised by Leonidas Guibas. He received his PhD in Computer Science at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics in Germany advised by Christian Theobalt & Antti Oulasvirta.
