A 3-day all-inclusive & beginner-friendly hackathon for all students around the world!
About this event
Tech jobs are becoming increasingly important as the world goes digital. However, many people from underrepresented communities often get discouraged or don't have the resources to pursue a career in tech. In fact, only 45% of high schools in the US offer computer science courses & under 11% of people in science & engineering fields are Black & Hispanic. Citro Hacks, happening over the 6/25 - 6/27 weekend, strives to provide learning opportunities, mentorship, & an inclusive space for students of all backgrounds.
Our hackathon is VIRTUAL, which means that students from anywhere can join! As long as you have a computer & internet connection, you'll be able to hear from inspiring speakers, network with other students, & build your own project for a chance to win some awesome prizes!
We're looking for speakers, mentors, & judges to help our hackathon run smoothly! Apply here by 6/22. Applications are NOT selective & are on a rolling basis. It should take less than 10 minutes to fill out.

Citro Hacks is hosted by Citro Tech, a 501(c)(3) student-led organization dedicated to empower minorities in the tech field & increase accessibility to resources. We create change by sending bi-weekly newsletters, hosting free events, publishing blogs, creating educational videos, working on research projects, & posting educational content on social media. As of June 2021, our initiatives have reached 60,000 people from 40 states & 61 countries.
