According to the Pew Research Center, there are approximately 18 million Asians currently living in the United States, which amounts to 6% of the nation's population. Of the 6%, Native Hawaiian & other Pacific Islanders make up roughly 0.4%. This means, there are at least 325,000 LGBTQ Asians & Pacific Islanders currently living in the U.S. with nearly 33,000 in same-sex partnerships residing in states like California, Hawaii or New York.
