Astoria Digital is proud to participate in Open Data Week 2021! https://www.open-data.nyc/
As part of Open Data Week 2021, the Astoria Digital team is sharing what they've learned about Freedom of Information Law Requests through a project tracking the FOIL requests to Police Departments in New York State. They are creating a site with rich data visualizations that will serve as a dashboard to track a set of FOIL requests.
This talk aims to engage people who use FOIL requests for their work, & those who have never used Freedom of Information Law requests before & would like to learn. Engineers, designers & those who work with data are welcome to contribute to the conversation about creating a site that visualizes data about FOIL requests.
Presenters:
Ania Stypulkowski (she/her) is a UX & UI designer interested in civic tech. She's based in Queens, New York & has many opinions.
