Adam Simons - Angel Investor, Adam J. Simons; Limited Partner, Founders Circle Capital; Strategic Advisor, Nurture Life; Investor, Motherly; Investor, SipScienceAdam Simons is a Bay Area based investor, adviser, & business operator. Adam regularly works with companies at all phases of growth. Adam sits on several boards & regularly counsels teams on a variety of business issues. Companies that Adam works with or invests in include SipScience, Motherly, Nurture Life, Creos Group, Showerpill, Punch'd, Ledger, BrandLove, Folia Materials, SoundOut, Lucent Drinks, OneCulture Foods, Guzo, Stitched Insights, & KetoNatural Pet Food. The common thread is that Adam focuses heavily on the consumer vertical - products, services, & technologies. Adam is also a Venture Partner at Triphammer Ventures in New York & regularly works with several early stage consumer funds. Adam has experience in various types of transactions from service level partnerships to joint ventures to both buy & sell-side M&A. Throughout his career, Adam has had several other interesting jobs as well - he was most recently the Head of Emerging Brands at Clorox. He had responsibility for leading the strategy, operations, & P&L of a high growth part of the company's portfolio during 9 years at the company. In this capacity Adam was heavily involved in several significant transactions for the company. Before Clorox, Adam spent time at Diageo, Publicis, & Corporate Executive Board. He worked on the founding team of a full service marketing research firm based in Philadelphia. Adam has marketing, corporate strategy, & general management experience across a variety of industries such as hospitality, technology, health care, financial services, & consumer packaged goods. He's led work at all levels of strategy from creative campaigns to business growth initiatives to corporate portfolio management. His work both in-house for corporations and, before that, in consulting has covered a broad array of business issues relating to marketing strategy, new product innovation, corporate growth strategy, financial investments, & mergers/acquisitions. Adam is regularly viewed as an industry expert in tools & approaches at the front end of innovation & he has a great passion for this space. He is a regular lecturer at Stanford's Graduate School of Business & at conference around the globe. Adam has an MBA from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University, where he specialized in Entrepreneurship & Innovation. His undergraduate degree is in Communication from Cornell University, where he graduated with honors. You may remember his high school, T.C. Williams in Alexandria, VA, from the movie Remember the Titans. He lives in Oakland, CA with his wife (an M&A partner at Goodwin) & two precocious kids who have developed a healthy disdain for distance learning.
