Editing Video with the Android Media Framework, Anthony Restaino
The Android Media Framework is a complex part of the Android API that can be intimidating to get started with. This talk will discuss how to use it to perform basic video manipulation, such as video trimming, audio track replacement, & format conversion. To do this, the talk will look at the basics of A/V (audio/video) compression, codecs, & media containers, & then use this knowledge to build an editing pipeline using the media framework. Additional consideration will be given to other editing tools such as FFMpeg in comparison to the media framework.
