Designed to bring together entrepreneurs, investors & innovators from across the Harvard community, the event will feature an exciting group of speakers who will address several of the most topical issues facing startups across a range of industries & at various stages.

HBS Professor & Case Study Leader:
Thomas R. Eisenmann is the Howard H. Stevenson Professor of Business Administration at the Harvard Business School, Faculty Co-Chair of the HBS Rock Center for Entrepreneurship, Faculty Co-Chair of the Harvard MS/MBA Program, & Faculty Chair of the HBS California Research Center. Eisenmann teaches the MBA elective course Making Markets, which focuses on marketplace design, & leads a January Term Startup Bootcamp for first-year MBAs. In recent years, Eisenmann has served as Chair of Harvard's MBA Elective Curriculum & as head of The Entrepreneurial Manager, taught to all 900 first-year MBA students.
Professor Eisenmann received his Doctorate in Business Administration ('98), MBA ('83), & BA ('79) from Harvard University. Prior to entering the HBS Doctoral Program, Eisenmann spent eleven years as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, where he was co-head of the Media & Entertainment Practice. Eisenmann is on the editorial board of Strategic Management Journal. He currently serves as a director on the boards of Harvard Business Publishing & Harvard Student Agencies, the world's largest student-run corporation.
Adam Royalty is the Designer-in-Residence at Columbia Entrepreneurship, Innovation, & Design. He comes to Columbia Entrepreneurship from the Stanford Hasso Plattner Institute of Design the d.school at Stanford University. He has a M.A in Learning, Design, & Technology. Adam is the founding DIR of the Columbia Entrepreneurship Design Studio. Since his arrival in the fall of 2014, he has been co-teaching Launching New Ventures & Green House with Professor Dave Lerner at Columbia Business School. In the 2015 Spring semester Adam is co-teaching a course aimed at helping students conceive, test, plan, pitch, & launch social ventures with Professor Sarah Holloway at Columbia's School of International & Public Affairs.
Royalty heads up The Columbia Entrepreneurship Design Studio offered by Columbia Entrepreneurship to the University community to use as a set of tools, methodologies, & resources for turning ideas into action. He & the design team teach young Columbia entrepreneurs how to use the methods & mindsets of design-thinking to understand problems more deeply & solve them in innovative ways.
