EVENT DETAILS
Join us for our next HoloLens & Mixed Reality meetup to hear from Szymon Stachniak, Principal Software Engineer Lead.

Simon will discuss how its un-intuitive to write mixed reality applications that interact naturally with the real world. To date, our devices have produced accurate but un-structured representations of our environments with the hope that application developers could find ways to create magical experiences. At best this assumption makes development difficult & error prone, at worst it prevents great ideas from coming to life. Scene Understanding is Microsofts answer to this problem, & it means to invert the problem, converting the unstable analog world into a simple representation. In this talk we will present the Scene Understanding runtime, cover the scenarios & philosophy behind the work, & provide you with all the information you need to get started.

Agenda:
6.00PM-6.30AM - Networking
6.30PM-7.00PM - Presentation
7.00PM-7.15PM - Q&A

This event will be in AltspaceVR. If you do not have a VR headset, you can join in the 2D Mode on your PC. MAC is currently not supported.
