Join Us at M A D E R A & Reforms Beautiful Brooklyn Showroom for a Night of Circular Economy Talks, Showcases, & Festivities

The night kicks off at 5pm with an exclusive showcase of the Bone White Collection by M A D E R A as well as Reforms recently launched new kitchen, Degree by Cecilie Manz.
Starting at 6pm we will take a closer look at how circular economy principles are starting to make waves within the design community. Several companies are increasingly working to build alternative business models that will allow for the recovering & restoring of products, components, & materials through strategies like reuseing, repairing, remanufacturing or recycling.
Join us as we take onDesign for Circularity: How Circular Economy & Design Can Go Hand-in-handand hear lessons learned from circular economy design pioneers. Our speakers represent very diverse design practices, & they are ready to guide you & illustrate how they each continuously work to incorporate circular economy principles into their business models.
As no Tuesday night in New York is complete without a bit of festivities, M A D E R A & Reform would like to invite all participants to stick around after the talk for networking, mingling and, who knows, maybe a bit of dancing.
To keep everyone happy, snacks & drinks will be provided throughout the evening.

Design for Circularity
This panel discussion marks the first of a series of Design for Circularity events as part of a three-year development project, Circularity City, initiated by the Central Denmark Region in Denmark. The Design for Circularity series aims to connect public & private stakeholders in both the U.S. & Denmark with the overall goal of increasing the visibility of circular economy possibilities within design. The event series is hosted by the Danish Cleantech Hub - a New York-based platform working to support knowledge sharing & green partnerships between Denmark & New York.

What is a Circular Economy?
The concept of circular economy looks beyond the current linear industrial models of take, make, & dispose, & instead aims to redefine products & services to design waste out, while also minimizing negative impacts of a linear economy. With scarce resources & an ever-increasing global population, the idea behind circular economy principles is to build long-term resilience, generate business & economic opportunities, & provide environmental & societal benefits.
