About our Guest Investor: Teddy Himler is a principal at Comcast Ventures, where he focuses on sourcing, evaluating & executing new investment opportunities & support existing portfolio on behalf of Comcast Ventures, the VC arm of Comcast NBCUniversal. His particular focus is on Series A+ transactions on the east coast, with a major in digital media & minors in eComm, cryptotech & marketplaces, to name a few at the moment.
Prior to joining the fund, Teddy worked at SoftBank. He spent two years in Silicon Valley with SoftBank Capital & a year in Jakarta, Indonesia, where he co-founded & oversaw a set of SoftBank venture funds dedicated to early-stage, inning one Internet leaders throughout South East Asia. Prior to SoftBank, Teddy worked as an analyst for two years in Goldman Sachs' Technology, Media & Telecom Investment Banking group in San Francisco, where he advised on M&A & financing transactions across the technology landscape.
Teddy received his B.A. in Government & Economics from Harvard, where he was the captain of the varsity sailing team.
Fun Facts about Teddy: he likes remixing the old with the new. His favorite music genre is saxophone EDM; favorite movie is The Thomas Crown Affair (Brosnan, not McQueen); & his favorite literary genre is historical fiction (e.g., Erik Larson's Devil in the White City). He is also fluent in French & Indonesian Bahasa
