EVENT DETAILS
2020 has highlighted the efficiency of healthcare. We are looking for innovators that can improve accessibility & quality of care

Never Fear, Healthcare Innovators are here! Innovators are retooling, inventing, & launching great ideas that can help alleviate the impact of this pandemic in myriad ways! To help everyone hear about them we our running our 40th MedStartr Crowd Challenge! We invite all teams to compete online to get to this FINALS. Learn more, Apply, or see all the teams competing here.

What is a MedStartr Crowd Challenge?
Since 2013 when newly-formed Medable won our first Crowd Challenge, MedStartr.com has been running online Crowd Challenges where teams compete & get to the finals based on how much crowd validation & support they get for their project from people like you. In the finals, up to ten teams will take the stage to pitch & the audience is asked to vote as well. The prizes can be partnerships, pilots, funding & access to acceleration programs & almost always, the winners go on to greatness in the coming months & years. As always, we livestream the finals & you can watch them live or later on MedStartr.tv.
Judges & Experts: This isn't just a call for startups; we need the input of patients, care providers (doctors, nurses,...), healthcare business leaders, hospital leaders, public health thinkers, investors & more. Your insights are critical to determining which team has the best chance to help. Learn More about being a MedStartr Judge & Mentor & apply to be one here.

Why we are doing this? Who are you people?
This event is brought to you by MedStartr Ventures, our VC fund that invests in & accelerates the best new companies in healthcare. With the outbreak of the COVID-19 it shows how there needs to be more innovations! This is part of MedStartr Momentum World Tour 2020, or just #MedMo2020 for short. The team that created MedStartr.VC grew out of the Health 2.0 NYC community in New York & also created MedStartr.com. To learn more or to get involved please engage us on social media at @MedStartr or @alexbfair everywhere or call 530.MED.STAR anytime.

More about the MedStartr Acceleration Program (MAP):
Winning teams will be evaluated for inclusion in the MedStartr Acceleration Program which initially provides over $350,000 in funding & services including two years of support from the MedStartr Ventures team & Mentor network. MedStartr is no ordinary accelerator though. We select companies from those that are most validated by our massive crowd of healthcare innovation enthusiasts including patients, doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, leaders & staff at partners & institutions, designers, developers, investors more. This same crowd also helps drive growth & adoption of the new ideas, providing mentorship, introductions & more. The MAP provides funding, structure & training to capitalize on the opportunities that will come after teams win a crowd Challenge with services & introductions critical to startups in healthcare.

Why Pitch? What is all this about Momentum?
Pitching at a MedMo event helps get all companies the momentum they need to succeed in healthcare. MedStartr was started as a passion project to help as many innovations & entrepreneurs as possible & we remain true to that mission. Healthcare has changed in many ways in the 11 years since we started but there is more to do. Join us & help evolve medicine until we all can live longer, better lives!
