This meeting is open to current committee members as well as other energy professionals & energy business students who want to get involved in New York's annual cross-sector energy industry series.

Kevin Stickney will discuss efficient heating & cooling systems to achieve the decarbonization of heat at the commercial & municipal scale. This is based on geo-exchange anchored solutions, microgrids & even district energy. Additionally, he will discuss the network effects (CO2 & cost savings, grid benefits etc.) of scaling geo-exchange across an organization, as achieved with supermarket portfolios in the UK.

7:10-8 - breakout into our sub-committees to discuss & plan NYEWs upcoming Energy Design Thinking Challenge which will take place in December. Topics of discussion will include (but not limited to) urban transportation, smart energy improvements in buildings, the transforming relationship between utilities & ESCOs. We will be planning & designing the scope & needs for addressing the ideas at the challenge.
