EVENT DETAILS |
AWS Security invites you to join us for Building Securely on AWS - Security After Hours in New York, NY, on January 21, 2020.
Session: Evolving Perimeters with Guardrails, not Gates: Improving Developer Agility
Abstract: Customers often get started in AWS without much thought of consistent security practices. What happens, then, when the barn door is open & the customer sees lots of accounts building & migrating workloads to AWS without basic security boundaries in place? Join this session to hear about some basic IAM features that can help you put those boundaries in place, even *after* you've seen lots of accounts spring up in your organization. Then hear about how Comcast did this with hundreds of accounts, all while not disrupting developers & operations.
Key Takeaways: Customers will gain a primer in IAM principals & roles, & how AWS enables organizations to layer in security guardrails using Permission Boundaries & Service Control Policies. With these features, organizations can go back a layer in security guardrails for the accounts they've already created. Customers will be better prepared to lay the groundwork for a secure approach with new accounts moving forward.
Who Should Attend
Business leaders, technical founders, developers, engineers, architects, & system administrators from all size companies who are eager to learn about building securely on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
