Over 1,000 experimental vehicles are already operating in the U.S. And a dozen robotaxi fleets have been testing in multiple cities taking on passengers. While it seems autonomous cars are already here, others say it will still take at least a decade.
Who is right?

I write books (12 so far) & regularly publish articles on technology topics. A recent book is Das Silicon Valley Mindset (http://www.amazon.de/dp/3864703549) (in German) & elaborates on 400 pages the elements that form the innovative & entrepreneurial mindset in Silicon Valley & how we can combine that with our own strengths.
My most recent book The last driver license holder (https://thelastdriverlicenseholder.com/book/) came out in German on October 12th, 2017. On over 500 pages I look at converging trends such as autonomous driving, electric vehicles, or shared driving, which are heavily driven by Silicon Valley & discuss the potential implications for the automotive industry, cities, & societies at large.
