Healthcare impacts everyone - yet the technologies that power it are often far from current. So how does one go about building a modern big data stack at a Healthcare startup? What are some of the challenges of getting technologies to play well not just with each other but with the business problems being solved? In this talk, Marcin will discuss how Risalto Health has built out its data stack using a mix of AWS, Kubernetes, Airflow, Scala, Spark & Python for both ETL & Machine Learning.
Marcin Mejran is a Data Scientist at Risalto Health, a Healthcare startup focused on musculoskeletal care, where he wears many hats. His projects at Risalto & throughout his career range from Data Science to Machine Learning to Data Engineering to DevOps to Mobile. Prior to Risalto, he's worked in Healthcare & AdTech for more than a decade both hands on & as a manager. Marcin holds an MS in Statistics & a BS from Stanford University.
