This workshop will take you through building a basic React app and outline the basics of managing state, organizing your component file structures like a Bo$$, and deciding when to fashion dumb vs smart components. Bring your creativity and a passion for clean code and elegant design patterns.

Veronica is a front-end software engineer at a start-up currently in stealth. She spends her days putting into practice the skills she picked up at the Grace Hopper Program, which helped her to change careers and launch into the world of software engineering. She recently served as a Teaching Fellow at Grace Hopper, where she found a passion for writing controlled component forms and teaching the cyclical and modular art of React. She loves her cats, hates structural oppression, and is a big fan of kindness.

Beginner friendly but with enough meat for those with programming experience, who are looking to pick up a new framework. Very useful to know some JavaScript, but not required.
