EVENT DETAILS |
Fast-paced & practical, the O'Reilly Software Architecture Conference provides the design, development, & deployment training that veteran & aspiring software architects, engineers, & senior developers need.
From developer to architect
The O'Reilly Software Architecture Conference builds skills by focusing on technical breadth as well as depth. Understanding the tradeoffs, technology options, & engineering practices is critical because the long-term success of many companies balances on the effectiveness & versatility of the software engineering architecture teams that design, implement, & deploy it.
Expert speakers will share new techniques & approaches, proven best practices, & essential technical skills with the engineers, developers, tech leads, & managers who bridge business & technology. You'll hear about the tools they use & why, & the effect they've had on their work, focusing on:
Microservices
Cloud native development & deployment
Application architecture
Enterprise architecture
Leadership & management
Distributed systems
Three things that set this conference apart
Depth: Because the whole conference is about software architecture, sessions can go in-depth into complex subject areas. We have traditional 50-minutes sessions, but we also feature 90-minute sessions to allow for deeper dives.
Breadth: The conference covers all aspects of software architecture, including often neglected topics such as how to sell your ideas, manage teams, choose technologies wisely, & a host of other soft skills vital to your success as a software architect.
Networking: Do you lack peers in software architecture? Attendees at this conference love to network. From our Buddies Program & informal topic tables at lunch to Architectural Katas, a good-natured team competition event, you'll find plenty of opportunities to bounce ideas off fellow architects or just commiserate.
Software Architecture Training Courses
Immerse yourself in two days of in-depth education on critical topics. Each training course takes place February 25-26 & is limited in size to maintain a high level of learning & instructor interaction.
Applying cloud architecture patterns
Fundamentals of software architecture
Moving to microservices & beyond

Diversity & inclusion at Software Architecture
At O'Reilly, we believe that true innovation depends on hearing from, & listening to, people with a variety of perspectives. Please read our Diversity Statement & learn more about our Diversity & Inclusion scholarship program.
To support diversity in the larger tech community, O'Reilly works with inclusion-focused nonprofits. While Software Architecture registration is open, we're raising funds for Write/Speak/Code & invite you to join us. Learn more
We're committed to creating a safe & productive environment for everyone at all of our events. Please read our Code of Conduct.
