September 1, 2018 marked a new beginning at both ISOC-NY and the Internet Society: Greg Shatan has stepped in as President of the NY Chapter and Andrew Sullivan took over as President and CEO of the Internet Society!

We are delighted to be able to introduce the new leadership at a happy hour event on Friday, September 21st at Rye House. This is a very special opportunity to hear from Mr. Sullivan and be able to speak to him in a small setting. We'll also have a chance to hear from Greg Shatan on ISOC-NY's future as well as some other ISOC leaders.

Drinks and light food will be served.

Space is limited to 50 people in the back room of Rye House so please only rsvp if you are truly planning to attend.

Bios:

Andrew Sullivan brings many years of experience in the Internet industry to his new role, having worked to enhance the Internets value as an open, global platform throughout his career. Among his notable achievements is the launch of the .info Internet top level domain name. While at Dyn, now a Global Business Unit of the Oracle Corporation, he managed the Domain Name System (DNS) development and architecture departments. This led to his appointment to the Internet Architecture Board (IAB) which oversees the technical evolution of the Internet where he was elected Chair from 2015-2017.

Greg Shatan practices technology, Internet and intellectual property law at Moses & Singer in New York, where he focuses on IP and technology transactions, Internet and domain name law and policy, weird Internet stuff, data protection and privacy, and trademark/copyright matters. Greg is an active participant in the ICANN multistakeholder process, having served on numerous GNSO and Cross-Community Working Groups. He was President of the ICANN Intellectual Property Constituency from 2015-2017.
