EVENT DETAILS |
HackMobility 2019 is the first-of-its-kind automotive hackathon.
Bringing together leaders in mobility, from industry giants to developer companies & tools, HackMobility's goal is to inspire developers, designers, & thinkers to build new experiences in mobility. We'll bring together hackers for the event in downtown SF, giving them the tools & resources to create inspiring new products for the transportation of goods & people.
Shell, Smartcar, & HERE are providing core tools from energy, connectivity, & navigation to help you build innovative solutions in the world of mobility.
Challenge Statement
As population growth continues, the pressure on mobility is becoming unsustainable. Transport systems are over-crowded, traffic congestion is at an all-time high (and rising), & this is accompanied by increasing environmental & health concerns. Many remain left behind by the freedoms that transportation has afforded, unable to travel to schools, jobs, hospitals or grocery stores. We're looking for teams that are going to solve the prevailing issues in mobility, drawing from the growing connected, autonomous, shared & electric forces.
Tracks
At this event, you're invited to build hacks to make mobility:
TRACK 1 | Green
From sustainable fleets, to EV charging apps, use your skills to envision a greener & more conscious world. Develop solutions that enable a reduction of the impact of mobility on climate change.
TRACK 2 | Safe
With telematics data at your fingertips, your team can build solutions that keep drivers & riders safer on their journeys.
TRACK 3 | Equitable
How can we make transportation more accessible to everyone in society? From ride-sharing to better cheaper transit options, we can't wait to see what you build.
TRACK 4 | Efficient | Sponsor: Goodyear Tires
How do we develop a mobility ecosystem that is as lean & well-designed as possible? From well-maintained fleets to super-fast pick-ups & drop-offs by ride-sharing companies.
