Data Trust by Design:The toolkit to make customer trust a competitive advantage
Almost every business is now an information business. Yet so few have a clear information strategy, manage information risks adeptly & utilize their strategy to create competitive advantage.
This transformational toolkit can take root with the executive level, product management, designers, data scientists, or engineers. This is how you get started making trust your competitive advantage.
With privacy moving to the forefront of people's minds all around the world, many organizations are scratching their heads - searching for ways make data sharing (or a lack of it) valuable, meaningful & engaging for their customers. This goes beyond static policies. It's about operationalizing strong data ethics. It's about bringing to life proactive privacy & security. It's about making privacy part of the value proposition. It's privacy as a competitive advantage.
Years ago I urged people to embed Privacy, by Design. With trust at an all-time low, it's now time to design for trust. And the best way to overcome the trust gap is with Data Trust by Design. This is an essential ingredient to enabling user empowerment."
- Ann Cavoukian, Ph.D., LL.D. (Hon.), M.S.M. Privacy by Design Centre of Excellence, Ryerson University
In this hands-on workshop Nathan Kinch, CEO of Greater Than X, will guide you through a practical Data Trust by Design activity. Together we'll produce trustworthy outputs that inform, empower & enable people to make simple & active choices about how their data is & isn't used.
Greater Than X is also gifting all of you a copy of their new playbook, Data Trust by Design(launching February 8)
Agenda

Nathan will kick off with a quick overview of the behavioral, regulatory & technological shifts impacting the personal information economy (10 mins)

An introduction to Data Trust by Design, why it exists & the results it has produced to date (10 mins)

We'll then break out into small groups, select a focus & begin our design challenge (20 mins)

Two groups will then come together & present their output to the other group. We're focused on testing two key things; comprehension & efficacy (20 mins)

After putting our output to the test & documenting what we learn, we'll come together as a group to share what we've learned, discuss the challenges & ask the tricky questions we feel are yet to be answered (20 mins)

Theworkshopwill conclude with a quick wrap up. Nathan will also share further resources to ensure you're supported in your designing for trust journey
