By leveraging its technology platform, strategic lounge network of 10 dedicated properties in 4 states, & its integrated partnerships with over 30 aviation operators, the company has expanded its offerings from one route in one state to 22 core routes in seven U.S. states. BLADE has proven to grow the size of the short distance aviation market in the areas in which it operates. Over 75% of BLADE's first-time helicopter passengers have never flown in a helicopter before flying BLADE.

Since July 2015, Mr. Wiesenthal has served as founder & Chief Executive Officer of Blade Urban Air Mobility, a technology enabled short-distance aviation company & the largest arranger of helicopter flights in & out of city centers in the United States. From January 2013 to July 2015, Mr. Wiesenthal served as Chief Operating Officer of Warner Music Group Corp., a leading global music conglomerate. From 2000 to 2012, Mr. Wiesenthal served in various senior executive capacities with Sony Corporation, most recently as Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of Sony Corporation of America. Prior to joining Sony, from 1988 to 2000, Mr. Wiesenthal served in various capacities with Credit Suisse First Boston, most recently as Managing Director, Head of Digital Media & Entertainment. Mr. Wiesenthal previously served on the Board of Directors of Starz. Mr. Wiesenthal has a B.A. from the University of Rochester.
