***

Human beings are conversational animals.
We live our lives one conversation at a time.
Your teams, your company, your products & services are all conversations And even you are a conversation!

Daniel Stillman will lead us through a series of exercises & conversations from his recent book, Good Talk: How to Design Conversations that Matter.

The insights & frameworks you'll learn will help you transform & lead the conversations in your work & your life.

You are already designing your conversations. (Whether you know it or not.) Maybe youre designing them for clarity, speed or profit. What happens if you designed your conversations to maximize meaning or connection? Where would you start?

## Agenda

# Hello & Welcome (9:00 - 9:10pm est)

# Breakout conversations: What Conversations need to be designing? How might we develop Design Principles? (9:10 - 9:30pm est)

# Overview of the Conversation OS Canvas (9:30 - 10:00pm est)

# What is your Conversation OS? (10:00 - 10:15pm est)

# Questions & Conversation (10:15 - 11:00pm est)

About the Speaker:
Daniel Stillman designs conversations for a living & insists that you actually do that too.

As an independent design facilitator, he works with clients & organizations of all shapes & sizes (From Google to Visa, to name a few) to help them frame & sustain productive & collaborative conversations, deepen their facilitation skills, & coach them through the innovation process. His first book, The 30 Second Elephant & the Paper Airplane Experiment is about origami & teams & yes, its as strange as it sounds.

He hosts The Conversation Factory podcast where he interviews leaders, changemakers & innovators on how they design the conversations in their work & lives.

#Mission

Design Sprint NYC is focused on bringing together South Bay design thinkers to share techniques that expand your design practice, help create better products, & devise creative solutions to help shape our world. While the majority of us are designers by trade, anyone interested in design techniques is open to attend, contribute, & share!

#Want to help?

Design Sprint NYC is a volunteer organization. If you or anyone you know would like to speak at this or future meetups, please reach out on our Meetup Group or the Bay Area Design Sprint Slack Channel.
