This two-hour workshop is a must-attend event for all data scientists!

Attendees will be introduced to the fundamental capabilities of in-memory computing platforms that boost highly-loaded applications, research projects, risk analysis & fraud detection tasks by storing & processing massive amounts of data in memory & on disk across a cluster of machines.

These capabilities & benefits will be demonstrated with the usage of Apache Ignite which is the in-memory computing platform that is durable, strongly consistent, & highly available with powerful SQL, key-value & processing APIs.

By the end of the workshop the attendees will learn how to:
Deploy a distributed Apache Ignite cluster.
Preload data into the cluster deciding how much RAM is to be available for storage needs.
Create custom calculations & algorithms & utilize clusters resources for their execution.
Solve optimizations problems by simulating the process of biological evolution.
Apply machine learning algorithms supported by Apache Ignite.

This workshop will be lead by Valentin (Val) Kulichenko, lead architect at GridGain Systems.

Val is a software engineer, solution architect & distributed systems enthusiast. He is committer & PMC member of Apache Ignite project, his constant contributions are aimed to improve quality of the product & user experience for those working with it. At GridGain, he strives to help customers & partners with their technical challenges.

What to bring: Laptops & they should download & install Apache Ignite (free & open source) https://ignite.apache.org/download.cgi
