You are cordially invited to IBM Developer Advocates' Women in Tech Workshops. We bring women together to harness the power of trending technologies.
Workshop 1: Learn how IBM Model Asset Exchange ease data Scientists' every day struggle
Before AI, Machine Learning or Deep learning, there is data. From raw data to clean usable data, this workshop will show you what needs to kept in mind during data science process (pipeline). You will learn how IBM Model Asset exchange provides ease-of-use options for data scientists to build desired data models for their AI application with desired customized outcomes.
By the end of this workshop, you will be:
1. well informed to share knowledge about Data Science
2. armed with skills through IBM Model Asset Exchange to lead deeper involvement with Data Science & Machine Learning communities
3. using knowledge & skills learned from this workshop to discover hidden values to enhance future business, technology & more
4. able to transform your ideas into one of the IBM Developer Code Patterns
Speaker: Saishruthi Swaminathan, IBM Developer Advocate
Workshop 2: Introduction to IBM Cloud & Watson Cognitive Services
This is a high level introduction to IBM Cloud & the various cognitive services offered on it. We will learn how to create an account & provision new services from the catalog. We will then dive into Watson Assistant, a service you can use to create intelligent & natural dialogs, & Visual Recognition, a service to quickly create custom classifiers to identify objects in images. We will also look at Node-RED, an open source framework ideal for hackathons & creating proof of concepts & demos quickly.
After attending this workshop, you will be able to:
1. bring AI into your iOS apps with Watson Services for Code ML, build AI-Powered Mobile Apps with no downtime with pre-trained models, or use Watson Studio to quickly build, test & deploy your own customer models
2. build models without a single line of code using Watson Studio (a free workspace where you can seamlessly create, evaluate, & manage your custom models)
3. use Visual Recognition to understand contents of images & analyze images for scenes, objects, faces, colors, food, text, explicit content & other subjects that can give you insights into your visual content.
4. transform your ideas into one of the IBM Developer Code Patterns
Speaker: Upkar Lidder, IBM Developer Advocate
