Job Description

What's it all about?

Our Regional Salesteam in Europe is growing significantly. We are looking for an experienced Prospecting Account Expert to join our Spanish team during a period of significant growth & investment in our European business. There has never been a more exciting time to join one of the most recognised brands in the world.

This role will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities for Visa. We are looking for people that have natural drive & tenacity to succeed & make a difference every day. In return, we will equip you with the very best tools & training so that you can deliver the biggest possible outcomes. We will also probably have some fun along the way!

What we expect of you, day to day

  • Responsible for leading specific Visa Spain new Business opportunities, driving new business development & growth from clients & portfolios, galvanising the business to focus on & deliver against these opportunities

  • Engage with cross functional colleagues ensuring teams such as marketing, finance, merchant & acquiring & consulting are appropriately involved & informed in new business opportunities, leading virtual teams to deliver the right client responses & endeavouring to break down silos & work together as One Visa

  • Undertake analysis to support business & commercial proposals

  • Develop a good knowledge of Visa products & services & how they can benefit our clients

  • Leading deal structuring activities for specific client opportunities, engaging with internal stakeholders to deliver optimal financial & contractual approaches

  • Undertake analysis to support business & commercial proposals

  • Be a key contributor to the development of the Spain BD pipeline

  • Take responsibility for specific target client opportunities, proactively building relationships & developing relevant Visa proposals while acting as an ambassador for Visa externally

  • Work with clients to identify & understand new & ongoing requirements for specific opportunities based on client needs & pain points

  • Demonstrate a consultative-led sales approach, working with clients to identify & understand new & ongoing requirements for specific opportunities based on Visa insights, client needs & pain points


What we're after

  • Extensive experience & proven success within a targeted complex sales role.

  • Strong knowledge & experience of the cards & payments business including market trends & commercial drivers, with insight into credit card issuance / consumer lending

  • Proven financial acumen & fluency with numbers.

  • Be commercially focused & pragmatic, have the ability to identify opportunities & propose solutions

  • Experience of working in a corporate/business focused environment

  • Experience in working with senior management to align sales strategies & solutions

  • Excellent interpersonal skills & the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders at all levels, both internally & externally, & build positive & constructive relationships

  • Excellent negotiation skills

  • Proven influencing, selling & negotiation skills

  • Fluent in Spanish & English, both written & verbal
  • Educated to degree level, or holdequivalent professional experience.
