Hi, we're Oscar. Were hiring a Program Manager, Data Governance to join our Data team.

Oscar is restructuring health care to make it easy, affordable, & seamless for consumers to access high value care. Oscars data team is focused on pushing our understanding of this complex landscape. Insurance companies sit on a trove of data that is both broad & deep, spanning financial claims, clinical medical records, & rich product interaction data from our members. Connecting the dots across these datasets gives us unique insight into how the healthcare system functions & allows us to improve care coordination, better manage risk, build higher-performing provider networks, & create a standout consumer experience in our product. At Oscar, we are looking for bright & curious data minded individuals to join our team of 40+ researchers, data scientists, & analysts to leverage our efforts!

About the role:

You will be responsible for the management, use, & quality of the datasets housed within Oscars analytic data warehouse.

You will report into a Director of Data Science. This is a hybrid role. You will work part of the time in the New York City office & part of the time work-from-home/remote. #LI-Hybrid

Responsibilities:

  • Develop data quality standards & guidelines that will be applied to all datasets within Oscars Analytic Data Warehouse. Create the necessary review & testing standards to ensure consistency & correctness
  • Enforce our code review management processes, ensuring that the correct documentation is in place & that the right parties are participating
  • Support technical & non-technical users by coordinating onboarding & creating training as well as developing the content knowledge required to execute on those tasks
  • Develop & run a process to intake & prioritize ad-hoc requests for data support & additions

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of program management experience or equivalent relevant experience working with an enterprise data warehouse or in data governance role
  • Knowledge & experience using a project management tool (we use a combination of Monday.com & JIRA) & proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks through completion
  • Experience reading & understanding SQL
  • Ability to communicate with users from both technical & non-technical backgrounds

Bonus points:

  • Possess a CDMP, DGSP, or equivalent certification
  • A working knowledge of Python or R
