Jackpocket is the first mobile lottery app in the U.S. that offers players a secure way to order official state lottery tickets, such as Powerball, Mega Millions, & more, via their smartphones. We're creating a more convenient, fun, & responsible way to play the lottery by modernizing the $300B global lottery market with a mobile platform that everyone, including grandma, can feel good about.

As Jackpockets COO, youll play an integral role in the strategic direction of the business & assume ownership of the operations function as we continue rapid expansion throughout the US market. In this role youll collaborate closely with the CEO & various business leaders on mission critical initiatives across functions & lead operational strategy pertaining to expansion into new markets, process & workflow optimization, logistics, people operations, regulatory & more with the goal of continuously improving efficiency & scaling Jackpockets operations.

 Responsibilities

  • Serve as the central leader for the operations function & a senior member of the executive leadership team
  • Develop & leverage deep knowledge of Jackpockets operations systems & processes & continually ideate & execute strategic initiatives to improve operational performance & efficiency 
  • Own the P&L for the operations function & participate actively in financial & strategic planning 
  • Design & implement structure & spearhead the continued buildout of operations systems & teams with a tech-forward & regulatory/compliance oriented approach
  • Implement strategies & best practices around sourcing & supply chain activities 
  • Lead planning for operational expansion & develop comprehensive infrastructure to support new market launches
  • Maintain strong industry knowledge & relationships & provide insights to the leadership team on trends & potential opportunities
  • Act as a key public ambassador & brand evangelist for Jackpocket

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of executive level operations leadership experience, including P&L ownership
  • Demonstrated history of managing large & diverse cross-functional teams effectively & implementing scalable people-centric strategies to drive positive business outcomes
  • Proven ability to assess operational structure, processes, & systems & develop & implement meaningful improvements & efficiencies
  • High level strategic critical thinking skills with ability to ideade strategies as well as execute & implement them comprehensively & systematically
  • Experience leading new market launches & expanding a hyper growth business across states in a highly regulated industry
  • Strong executive presence coupled with outstanding communication & presentation skills; ability to influence effectively & generate buy in at the executive & board level
