Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring an Operations Analyst, Process Improvement to join our Insurance Operations team.

As an Operations Analyst at Oscar, you will do everything necessary to help us build a solid operational foundation. You will work with internal Oscar teams ranging from member service, risk, network, clinical, claims, population health, & technical teams with leadership exposure. You may also work with regulatory authorities & Oscar's vendors.

You will report to the Insurance Operations Manager. This is a remote role, you will work remotely in one of the following states: Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Washington. Note, this list of states is subject to change.


  • Develop an understanding of relevant policies & workflows to identify & measure the impact of any changes on our internal operations
  • Use technical skillset to understand database structure in relation to business processes to create reports such as trend analysis, key performance indicator (KPI) dashboards, & monitoring mechanisms.
  • Develop solutions to improve workflows through creating formalized workflow systems & increased automation opportunities.
  • Identify trends, such as eligibility data error trends or market trends that will help business operations.
  • Form a working relationship with all partners
  • Support leadership by guiding implementation of strategic decisions on an ongoing basis


  • A Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of related work experience in analytics or supply chain
  • 2+ years of professional experience
  • Experience in SQL, Python, or similar database languages
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel (pivot tables / macros)

Bonus Points

  • Experience in an operational rotational program
