VaynerTalent seeks a driven & hungry individual to serve as a Strategy & Operations Analyst for our talent representation team. This role will report to the Director of Strategy + Business Development, & includes responsibilities of a strategic, internal operations, & execution nature.

The Strategy & Operations Analysts day-to-day will encompass back-end team support functions, client-facing execution, & internal strategy. This team is fast-moving; the Strategy & Operations Analyst will help both keep the trains on the right tracks internally, & ensure external client relationships remain strong & robust. 

This opportunity will offer high levels of responsibility with client-interfacing day-to-day interactions on high-profile individuals & groups in the media, entertainment, & sports industry. As a result, the task at hand is to deliver both administrative support & creative strategic thinking on a fast-moving team across a variety of accounts, where we deliver a high volume of work via the following responsibilities:

Strategic + Analytical Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the teams preparation of associated business-related artifacts, including (but not limited to):
    • Slide decks, contracts, social posts, one-sheeters, analytical frameworks & models, data visualizations & dashboards, project ROI calculations, team status reports, product roadmaps, etc.
    • Assist with internal review & sanity checks, reviewing items for accuracy, polished status, etc. - serving as an additional set of eyes to help catch errors & mistakes
    • Collaborating with other departments (Creative, Production, Analytics/Insights, Community Management) as one close, collaborative team that works together across deliverables, process, & output
  • Serve as the central point of contact for all team priorities, projects, etc., acting as the primary owner of teams project management tools & processes
    • Maintain intimate knowledge of ongoing project & priorities, such that guidance can be given as to appropriate prioritization for senior management
    • Aid in tracking outstanding items for follow-up & input-needed from senior management & other team members
  • Develop strong relationships with customers, managing relationships appropriately to ensure all actively-represented talent feels heard & supported
  • Being a regular point of contact for clients & taking a critical role in actioning client & team requests that lead & shape opportunities based on the clients business objectives
    • Assist the Strategic Account Manager as an additional point of contact for engaged talent, answering tier-one questions & concerns & escalating others appropriately
    • Manage client information flow between various engaged parties; e.g. serve as the conduit between talent & brand partners & liaise appropriately in a manner that empowers all parties collective vision(s)
    • Proactively identify concerns & client requests, & socialize those back to the internal VaynerTalent team appropriately
    • Assist with delivery of requisite communications back to clients & external contact points
  • Provide valuable, implementable results & recommendations using strategic business analysis
  • Coordinate logistics & production for 360 service-level clients across all engaged responsibilities
    • Assisting these individuals with one-off requests on an ad-hoc basis, maintaining discretion with sensitive information that may arise from these activities

Internal Operations & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Own & manage President + Managing Partners schedule & travel, maintaining relationships with internal & external staffs in a manner that facilitates these events & also owning internal processes to ensure proper accommodation
    • Scheduling, confirming, & relocating commitments as/if necessary to ensure all parties are present, & proactively manage time-sensitive ad-hoc issues that may arise
    • Serve as source of truth & go-to point of contact for all upcoming meetings & pending requested places
    • Update internal tracking & project management tools to reflect the current status & state of team schedules, outstanding items, etc.
  • Manage operating expenses budget for President + Managing Partner, taking ownership of the submission of regular reports, & sharing of status downstream updates to both the Director of Strategy & Business Development & President + Managing Partner
    • Proactively identify areas of too-high spend to help maintain compliance with predetermined budget limits
    • Assist the Director of Strategy & Business Development with business cases, etc. when appropriate
  • Take detailed notes & meeting minutes for all conversations participated in, articulately & accurately documenting conclusions, actions, & follow-ups, & memorialize these materials into project management tools
  • Provide general administrative support across the team & organization, assisting where bandwidth allows

Requisite Experience + Skills

  • Bachelors degree required
  • 1 - 2+ years of Administrative, Strategy, and/or, management consulting experience, with a strong preference for those functions at a prior employer within the Media, Entertainment, & Sports industry
  • Experience with, or eagerness to learn, Microsoft Office, CRM platforms (e.g. Hubspot), & Project Management tools (e.g. Jira / Trello)
  • Exposure to data analytics-related tools (e.g. SQL, R, Stata, Excel Power Query), data visualization platforms (e.g. Tableau, Microsoft PowerBI), and/or Adobe Creative Cloud a plus, but not required
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Highly resourceful & disciplined, with strong emotional intelligence & self-motivation
  • Experience & comfort with client-facing presentations & interaction
  • Comfort with & disciplined to manage highly sensitive confidential information
  • Willingness to travel if client relationship management needs dictate (~5%)
