About the Team:

The Data Support team is a group of technical specialists that play a critical role in providing consumers of our apps & customers of our products access to high-quality POI data.  The team is responsible for helping Customer Success improve the match rate of 3rd party datasets to FSQ datasets, reviewing data quality feedback, researching online & utilizing internal tools to resolve data issues, & for researching the availability, quality, & completeness of new data sources. 

About the Position:

We're seeking an independent, efficient, & hard-working person who genuinely enjoys helping others. A successful team member enjoys analyzing data, excels at written communication, & is able to perform effective online research.  As a part of the Data Support team, you will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality data across our Places database & supporting our Attribution product.  

We are looking for talented individuals with a degree in STEM fields, who strive to grow into a Data Analyst role. 

This is a great way to get your foot in the door into the tech scene! 

In this role youll:

• Curate & vet popular venues in our database to help ensure users have access to highly-personalized recommendations
• Use internal tooling to add/remove/edit various attributes in our Places dataset
• Analyze & QA data feedback 
• Research specific chains & brands to validate venue-level firmographic data accuracy
• Improve the match rate of our POI data with one of our many outside data sources
• Annotate sample datasets in order to understand to identify the severity of issues & the quality of new potential datasets

What youll need:

• Strong work ethic & acute attention to detail 
• Efficient & effective online research skills
• Familiarity with online mapping platforms
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• A careful eye to help identify, troubleshoot, & report bugs
• Experience with Excel or Google Sheets 
• Experience with SQL & a programming language
• Experience scripting or automating processes

Nice to have:

• Prior experience with Jira or Asana
• A passionate Foursquare and/or Swarm user
