Hi, we're Oscar. Were hiring a Sr. Manager to join our Product Marketing team in our New York office. 

Oscar is a technology-driven, consumer-focused health insurance startup founded in 2012 & headquartered in New York City. Our goal is to make health insurance simple, transparent, & human. We need your help to do so.

About the role:

As the Manager of Product Marketing (Growth), you will be the leader of the Medicare Advantage line of business.  You will serve as the expert on the markets we operate in & audiences we touch. You will help direct the marketing budget for this line of business & will be responsible for spending it effectively & efficiently. 

You will be expected to work closely with leaders within the marketing organization (Broker Marketing, Consumer Insights, Performance Marketing, Member Engagement) & the broader organization (Network, Sales, Product) to develop the go-to-market strategy & translate the strategy into sales enablement, community activations & owned/earned/paid media campaigns across broker, provider & member audiences.

You will also work downstream with functional experts to ensure campaign execution is effective, on-brand, compliant & above all else, drives profitable growth for the business.


  • Go-to-Market Planning:  Develop core positioning, audience segmentation & marketing channel recommendations across owned, earned & paid channels for driving targeted awareness, consideration & ultimately, acquisition of our addressable market of Medicare eligibles.

  • Market/Audience Intelligence: Keep a pulse on the market dynamics (competitive landscape, plan design, consumer trends) in our existing & expansion markets.  Partner with the Consumer Insights, Sales & GtM team to develop a robust understanding of the needs & wants of our consumer & broker audiences.   

  • Marketing Effectiveness:  Work across the marketing & sales organization to ensure the segmentation strategy & core positioning translates across all growth initiatives (broker co-marketing, direct-to-consumer, community partnerships, collateral, etc.) You will be responsible for monitoring growth trends throughout the year & delivering insights on what is working & what isnt


  • 6+ years experience working in marketing (ideally product marketing) & sales enablement. 

  • 2+ years of tactical marketing channel experience (ran digital/offline campaigns) & has been directly responsible for managing a marketing budget.

  • Experience owning the development of marketing campaigns, & a deep understanding of how marketing impacts each stage of the buyer journey/purchase funnelfrom awareness, to consideration, to conversion. 

  • Proven track record of driving influence across an organization, including presenting to c-suite.

Bonus points:

  • Experience marketing directly to an older audience & vulnerable populations 

  • Experience working in the health care industry, with an understanding of payor, provider, & patient dynamics.
