CIC is looking for a Part-time Team Member to help support our internal & external programming efforts by working approx. 20-28 hours per week. The days will vary depending on what programming is scheduled. The compensation is $15 per hour.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

This person will join our team to help facilitate the range of internal programming we do for our clients. This includes coordinating weekly office hours, organizing lunch & learn & breakfast discussions, planning & executing monthly community activated events (monthly breakfast, wine downs, holiday & themed events). This programming entails partnerships with investors, corporations, & other local stakeholders across sectors of expertise. Some of these events will also be public facing, such as a recurring series of events with HSBC, Equinox, & others.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Emailing directly with each programming partner to coordinate details of the event or activation.
Coordinating timely communication/sharing ongoing opportunities with clients through various channels such as our newsletter & Slack
Coordinating day-of logistics during programming.
Helping the event host with welcoming guests, setting up catering, or other small tasks. For example, ordering & receiving food & alcohol & communicating with caterers & bartenders.
Maintaining & organizing spaces when needed & conducting inventory for event furniture & equipment when necessary.
Rearranging furniture before & after each programming activation, doing light clean up after the event, & coordinating with cleaning crew for larger volume events.
Keeping an eye on the timing of the programming to ensure the event starts/ends on time & is proceeding accordingly.
Being present in or adjacent to the event space during the programming/event quickly help troubleshoot.
Strong communication with Events team, Relationship Management team, & Operations team members about needs, plans, & issues throughout the course of an event.
Overseeing the logistical execution of our C The Future event series in collaboration with the lead for each topic.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate these traits:
Ability to lift & move up to 35 pounds & also push or pull heavy objects (please note that this job requires walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, & reaching)
AV skills - someone who enjoys this type of troubleshooting.

Starting compensation is $15/hour plus 401k matching after the first year of employment (must be 21+) plus 12 unpaid holidays per year. Annual reviews with raises every year for those on track with strong performance.

Events & programming play a critical role in our community by providing our clients, as well as other entrepreneurs, innovators, & stakeholders with an outlet to collaborate, network, & build skills with like-minded individuals.
