At its core, Visa is a payments network that connects consumers & merchants with financial institutions. And at the heart of our brand promise is VisaNet, of which the main components are authorisation, clearing & settlement & dispute resolution systems. The Open VisaNet programme intends to develop a set of replacement services for VisaNet using the latest technology that will allow flexibility of deployment, low cost of ownership & the same high availability & throughput characteristics demonstrated by the existing set of services.
What we expect of you, day to day.
The Open VisaNet programme is seeking a junior project manager to work within the OVN programme management office. Key responsibilities include:
Support the programme management office including the different tracks of the programme (e.g., program management, stakeholder engagement, etc).
Support the programme management office to drive key program activities:
Support Program reviews
Track program dependencies, risks & issues in collaboration with the delivery teams & other stakeholders
Track milestone plans across delivery teams
Track program budgets, forecasts & schedule
Support the production & circulation of status & milestone reports, working with the delivery teams to provide project updates.
Support collaboration & overall integration between programme tracks.
Prepare & support the programme meetings including meeting management, minute taking, preparing agendas & circulating inputs/outputs.
Maintain & manage the Programme/Project Mailbox & Calendar.
Maintain the Programme/Project SharePoint sites.
Support the programme management office to analyse specific data & prepare reports.
Support the programme management office to comply with Visa's Project Management Methodology & Key Controls
What we're after
- Experience of supporting on large/complex IT projects/programmes with multiple stakeholders with different & often conflicting needs
- Experience & knowledge of the project environment, practices & processes
- Experience of information/data analysis & preparation of succinct analysis reports
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent MS Office Skills
- Methodical approach & good eye for detail
- Strong administrative skills
- Educated to at least A-Level or equivalent professional experience
- Knowledge & experience of IT
- Prince 2 Foundation or equivalent qualification
