Job Description

Magic Leap is seeking a Safety Engineer Intern to support our Occupational Safety & Health Department. This position will offer you the chance to work closely with occupational safety experts to conduct job safety analysis, machine risk assessments & laboratory inspections. Analyze key metrics such as incident trends, near misses, & audit findings. If you are a fast-learner with a positive attitude & a strong passion for working with new technology, come join the Safety Team in maintaining a safe work environment for the development of cutting edge technology.

You will need to go into one of our offices regularly in Plantation, Florida. 

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Safety Science
• Strong data processing & organization skills required
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to communicate effectively across teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with OSHA 1910 requirements
• Experience with ergonomic evaluations
• Experience with machine risk assessments
• Experience with job safety (hazard) assessments
• Experience with laboratory or cleanroom environments a plus

Education

• Currently enrolled or recently graduated in a Bachelor/Master's program in Safety Engineering, Environmental Health & safety or relevant field, or equivalent experience
