In this role, you will be responsible for commissioning & editing both news-driven commentary & deeply reported, longer-term projects. The ideal candidate will have smart, original ideas about how to cover a wide variety of education-related issues, such as school affordability & accessibility; higher-education admissions & costs; corruption & scandals tied to college-admissions pressure; the debate over free speech on campuses; & the many complex ways that school life is changing for students & teacherslooking through the lenses of technological change, social change, political change, & other forces..
This editor should have impeccable news & editorial judgment, an eye for writing talent, & a knack for identifying the bigger pattern behind the days news. The ideal candidate has at least 5-7 years of experience in editing & / or writing.
