What we do in Product: 

In this role, you will lead the entire Product & User Experience Organization at Cruise Critic. You will formulate & execute product strategy.  Youll lead prioritization, coordinate work across initiatives, & work closely with leaders across Cruise Critic. You will translate business needs into product plans that incorporate appropriate research & stakeholder input. To be successful, you will be passionate about data, able to craft a vision, & thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 

As a critical member of the Cruise Leadership Team (CLT) you will wear your functional hat, but also participate as a critical player in the strategy formation for Tripadvisors global cruise business. The successful individual in this role is ultimately responsible for translating our strategy into action, site features & site performance across multiple points-of-sale.  

What youll do:

• Lead a team of 5+ & coach them & make sure they build first-in-class capabilities that empower our engineers.

• Define the long-term product strategy & associated roadmap

• Determine the metrics that will measure success of our products, & make sure they are reliable & monitored 

• Create strong partnerships with the engineering team to understand their needs, hurdles, & expectations. 

• Lead & manage the employees in the department, ensuring clear goals & accountabilities are established & achieved

• Ensure individuals performance & development needs are met & employees are high performing & engaged

• Immerse yourself in the cruise market, & leadership of a top-performing product team that is driven to achieve ambitious goals for the cruise 

• Develop scalable processes in a high volume environment

What we are looking for?

• 10+  years of product management experience

• 6+  years of team management experience

• Ability to communicate for influence & coach others in that same direction. 

• Excellent communication & collaboration skills. You are able to establish strong relationships with other groups in the organization.

• Experience developing & using consumer research to develop strategies & tactics

• Strong analytical skills to interpret data & trends, diagnose problems, & recommend effective action plans to resolve issues

• Excellent communication to effectively & efficiently articulate both strategic vision & specific details to various stakeholders, from senior leadership to individual contributors.

• Background in the travel industry or online/ecom a plus.
