Jackpocket is the first mobile lottery app in the U.S. that offers players a secure way to order official state lottery tickets, such as Powerball, Mega Millions, & more, via their smartphones. As a Senior Operations QA Engineer, youll partner across technical & operational teams to develop, plan, & execute testing to ensure Jackpockets operations systems are of the highest possible quality on a continuous basis. You will run complex queries for data validation & collaborate on testing documentation, new feature deployment, bug investigation & reporting, etc. This role will also entail periodic onsite visits to our Austin based facility to perform hands-on testing of hardware & software. 

Responsibilities

• Formulate & perform quality assurance testing for Jackpocket applications & APIs in collaboration with Engineering, Product, & Operations teams
• Perform hands-on testing of operations software features as well as hardware components including printers & scanners at our Austin based facility
• Write & maintain documentation on testing requirements & standard procedures with the goal of continuous improvement / optimization
• Manage the release process for operations technology, ensuring that new features & updates are tested & deployed within time constraints
• Proactively research & keep up to date with industry standards & best practices to continually improve Jackpockets QA function 

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands on QA testing experience in a fast paced agile environment
• Experience with quality assurance testing of hardware & networking technology
• Good familiarity with Windows operating system
• Experience executing & debugging scripts using command line 
• Experience with integration testing
• Experience with API testing using Postman
• Complex troubleshooting & root cause analysis experience
• Demonstrated history of identifying deficiencies & implementing improvements without direction
• Experience with Cypress a plus

The base compensation range for this role is $100,000 - $120,000

 This is a full-time exempt position & is not eligible for overtime under FLSA requirements.
