Looking into a transition to Data Science? Want to learn about building models & writing Python code? If so, this is the perfect role for you.

The Data Science team works with operation teams & machine learning engineering team to build machine learning models that impact the entire organization. We are looking for an analyst to join our team, starting with helping us conduct model related analysis, & eventually transition into a full-fledged data scientist. You will work side by side with data scientists to conduct analysis to find the best feature, drill down on what features are driving prediction, & building dashboards to evaluate models performance. Youll pick up coding skills & learning new technologies along the way in preparation for your transition.

THE GAME PLAN:
Everyone on our team has a part to play

  • Work closely with data scientists & fellow analysts to produce insights on model results
  • Design, create & maintain dashboards that track key metrics of model performance
  • Work with data scientists to conduct analysis to debug existing models
  • Answer questions raised by stakeholders on model performances through data analysis
  • Combine business context with knowledge of model to understand irregular behaviors in model or underlying data
  • Learn & contribute to in-house packages built by Data Science team & ML Engineer team

THE STATS:
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • 1+ years' experience in an analytics role preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in a highly numerate major (Math, Stats, Econ, CS etc.) or relevant experience in data and/or business analysis
  • Strong personal organizational & time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with a lot of ambiguity
  • Proficiency in SQL required; experience with Python or R desirable
  • Self motivated & always ready to learn new things
  • Understanding of fundamentals of machine learning concepts through course work or self-studying
  • Strong problem solving skills, allied with track record of transforming data into actionable business insight
  • Interest in Fantasy Sports and/or Sports Gaming preferred
  • Hands-on experience with ML models preferred
