About the team:
We create & distribute all written content for the website, from long-form articles & programs to service & slideshows. We help shape & guide how Refinery29 & its impact can grow into those spaces, delivering on those promises with fresh content, tools, & discussion every day.The R29 social referral team is a creative, enthusiastic, & collaborative crew that programs across all social platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, & LinkedIn. This multifaceted team touches all formats & content categories, working hand in hand with all other departments to produce, promote, & package R29 initiatives.

What you'll do:
- Manage a team of 3 social referral editors help grow a meaningful, engaged community of young women, while helping team hit referral & engagement metrics
- Create content & distribution strategies for our main social referral channels Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, & LinkedIn
- Create a community management strategy & help define the social voice across platforms
- Work with the edit team & other members of the social referral team on packaging, positioning content for optimal performance across our channel, & pitching the editorial team stories & content ideas
- Maintain our relationships with our social channels & keep up with industry news, algorithm changes, & trends across media
- Create & execute tests to move content strategy forward & attract new audiences, pulling & analyzing data to optimize efforts, communicating across teams how channels & content are performing
- Pivot strategy as company priorities & platform landscape change
- Occasionally will need to be scheduled to be on-call during after hours live event coverage & weekends
What you have:
- Expertise programming across all social platforms
- Natural curiosity about audiences & the different ways we can engage with them
- Proven ability to handle a high-volume workload
- An understanding of video production; video editing is a plus!
