As a leader in our start-up environment, leading by doing is second nature to you. The role will have direct access to the CEO while reporting to the CFO.

~ A builder with breadth & depth as an experienced HR Generalist: Experience with a wide range of HR generalist responsibilities inclusive of HR services, policies & programs including benchmarking & best practices selection of internal & external resources for benefits; leading & further developing a corporate culture focused on learning & development; long-range organizational strategy/planning; team leadership, on & off boarding & much more. As the leader of our labor compliance function, you will ensure we maintain compliance with current & applicable state & federal labor laws including items such as 5500s, audits, ACA, EEO or DOL request. The best candidates will have experience in industries including; media & entertainment, tech and/or non-profits/unions, in which we operate.

~ Compensation Strategist: You will maintain a relevant annual & long-term compensation strategy & structure in a way that builds transparency, ease & happiness in managing & communicating compensation.
~ Performance & Coaching Guru: Applying your deep understanding of performance & coaching, you will elevate our team well beyond annual performance reviews. Additionally, you will gain the trust & confidence of the CEO, CFO & executive team, & will be sought out by them for counseling & coaching in their own development & that of their teams.
~ Organization Designer: Considering our long-range growth plans, including our M&A efforts, you will develop concepts & strategy for our future organizational structure. You will be deeply thoughtful about how we incorporate change efforts into the design of our work. These will combine into exceptionally clever people planning outcomes.
Required Education & Experience:
- 15+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education & experience. Masters degree in human resources or related field.
- Extensive leadership experience in Human Resource Management at the executive level, including employee relations, training & development, health & welfare benefit programs, recruitment & compensation & application of legal & government compliance guidelines.
- Experience with unions & organized labor a plus.
- Experience in digital new media, content production or content distribution & corporate environment preferred.
- Ability & experience managing people & interdepartmental communications & relationships.
- Outstanding interpersonal, verbal & written communications skills required.
