Role Description:

As a focal point of the legal & regulatory team, you will help support business processes, maintain information & records, develop & maintain department technology applications, & work with different teams across the company to enable the business to grow & scale. The Legal & Regulatory Operations Lead will aim to drive in-house efficiency & produce a more centralized & responsive service model to our global company.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Legal & Regulatory department & report on key operational & substantive metrics that will better inform decision-making & work product analyses
  • Manage & address incoming inquiries to the legal team relating to all aspects of the contract lifecycle (including sales & vendor agreements)
  • Act as legal & regulatory project manager in implementing technology solutions to automate processes, maximize operational efficiencies & benchmark data 
  • Help define procedures & practices within legal & regulatory to promote efficient workflows & handling of legal & regulatory requests throughout the organization
  • Enable knowledge sharing by creating self-service tools for access to legal & regulatory advice 
  • Lead continuous process improvement efforts & build centralized processes for decision making across the business
  • Organize & triage project management & responses within GAs internal ticketing systems
  • Maintain contract template versions & assist in deploying changes to templates across the business
  • Manage departmental mail & signature acquisition 
  • Perform foundational legal tasks (drafting, research, etc.) & conduct the first level of legal review on certain documents as instructed/needed (for example, low dollar amount collaboration agreements, media releases, etc.)
  • Support data subject deletion & access requests
  • Support privacy assessments for all existing vendors & manage privacy certifications 
  • Manage & continuously improve the document management process across the entire department
  • Maintain compliance & corporate governance filing calendars
  • Work with team members throughout other functional areas on legal, compliance, & privacy related projects, as needed
  • Anticipate & mitigate pain points, devise creative solutions, & drive change management

Skills & Qualifications:  

  • 2-4 years experience in operations and/or project management based environment;
  • Excellent planning & organization skills - meticulous attention to detail is a must
  • Enthusiasm for managing day-to-day administrative & operations tasks to optimize team efficiency & performance
  • Ability to think strategically as well as roll up your sleeves to manage execution
  • Interest working in a dynamic, quickly-changing environment
  • Ability to manage, prioritize, & complete multiple projects at once
  • You have excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • A passion for education & for changing lives
  • You are a notary public, and/or open to becoming one
  • You bring a contagious positivity & rapport to the teams you join
  • Strong competency in Adobe Acrobat, Adobe InDesign, Microsoft, Jira, Confluence Ironclad, & OneTrust applications is a plus
