Job Description

Financial Institutions are key strategic client partnerships for Visa. We have experienced strong engagement with issuing bank partners, which has elevated the role we play in supporting the NA organization. We have an opportunity to expand our strategy by increasing engagement with more issuers & deepening our marketing partnership approach.

The Manager, U.S. Client Marketing will drive efforts to maximize business building opportunities for Visa & our clients through the activation of Visa marketing platforms/initiatives & strategic use of sponsorship assets. This manager is responsible for building partnership relationships with key Financial Institution (FI) clients, building best-in-class marketing plans that drive business goals for both Visa & its clients, & executing against an annual marketing plan. They will look to ensure we are diving strong brand engagement, client value & top line growth for Visa & our clients. They will be responsible for measuring the results & tracking the performance to ensure we are driving the strongest outcomes.

This Manager must be able to thrive in a fast-moving, highly matrixed environment. The Manager will be results-oriented, flexible, & have a can do, positive attitude. Additionally, the Manager must have a strong track record in working collaboratively with internal team members & external clients.

Specific Responsibilities

Engage with teams across Visa & its clients to deliver programs & thought leadership to help grow our clients' payment card business

Own the development of business building opportunities for key issuing bank clients through the activation of Visa product & marketing platforms (e.g. Tap to Pay) & the strategic use of sponsorship assets, including the NFL, Olympic Games, FIFA & Visa Signature

Ensure that the overall planned marketing activities are aligned with the specific client's objectives & identify areas of opportunities to deliver highly effective programs.

Develop/manage scorecard for specific clients to track program success & report out, as needed

Manage clients' Visa marketing budgets inclusive of forecasting, reclassification & reporting; liaise closely with Finance & Accounting business partners to ensure accurate & timely reporting

Partner with Visa client-facing teams (Sales, Visa Consulting & Analytics) to identify business opportunities based on specific client's strategies & goals

Liaise with cross-functional partners (Product, Merchant, Innovation) to integrate Visa products & services as appropriate

Work with US Consumer Marketing counterparts to ensure seamless support of key US marketing priorities

Participate in ideation & development of custom marketing programs across Visa platforms & sponsorship assets

Manage agency partners during client program development, including concept creation, routing materials for review & securing stakeholder approvals

Project timeline & budget management

Purchase Order creation & management

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent plus 4 years of applicable work experience in a fast moving environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • We seek experienced, proactive, high-achieving professionals to build marketing solutions for our clients. Specific requirements are:
  • MBA or other relevant Master's degree preferred.

  • 5-8 years business experience, with majority in marketing or consulting roles that involved project management, marketing or business strategy, product launches or planning
  • Experience with issuer marketing and/or payment industry and/or client service experience highly preferred
  • Experience in designing & executing multichannel marketing campaigns (i.e paid social, search engine marketing, paid social, email, direct mail etc.) across the marketing lifecycle (acquisition, usage, retention, loyalty)

  • Strong executive presence & comfort leading discussions with clients

  • Strong analytical skills & feel comfortable with numbers

  • Strong written & in-person communication skills

  • Team player with experience coordinating cross functional, end-to-end projects that included a high level of detail & ability to ensure project deadlines & budgets are met

  • Self-motivated. Proactive in asking questions & proposing solutions

  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Power Point & Word

Physical Requirements:This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit & stand at a desk, communicate in person & by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment (phones & computers), reach with hands & arms, & bend or lift up to 25 pounds.

Travel: This role may require 10% travel within the US
