What Youll Get To Do:

The Partnership Specialist role operates holistically across all ecommerce levers including business development, marketing, merchandising & technology, to scale the third-party partners on Walmart.com. The Partnership Specialist will be responsible for managing & driving sellers financial & operational goals, measuring & actioning performance metrics, & building strong internal & external relationships. Responsibilities will also include optimization of assortment to improve marketplace growth, while enhancing the customers experience.

This role is heavily cross-functional, requiring working knowledge & coordination with merchandising, marketing, operations, finance, & technical teams. Candidates should also understand how to use technology to help drive future enhancements & define requirements for technology platforms in order to meet business needs. This is an ideal role for a candidate who loves partner management & is interested in driving significant financial growth at scale.

  • Own & drive Toys Marketplace sellers annual GMV plan across both Walmart.com & Jet.com
  • Manage & contribute to Joint Annual Business Plans (JBPs) by aligning financial targets with our partners, identifying Toys assortment needs based on internal & external insights & data, & securing marketing placements
  • Continuously monitor partner sales performance; work with sellers to identify & action levers to improve performance & provide internal reporting on key metrics to effectively communicate the performance of the business
  • Partner with the Toys category team to identify near & future Toys business development opportunities to increase selection & assortment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in product, content, search, site merchandising, marketing & partner operations teams to successfully launch, troubleshoot & grow strategic partnerships
  • Contributes to the alignment of multiple cross-functional teams to ensure the achievement of business objectives
  • Models compliance with company policies & procedures & supports company mission, values, & standards of ethics & integrity

What Were Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or minimum of 4 years equivalent work experience
  • Experience managing a P&L with full ownership of financial targets
  • Strong quantitative & project management skills with the ability to analyze large data sets & propose insights & actionable recommendations to drive strong commercial outcomes for both Walmart.com & our partners
  • Excellent leadership & interpersonal skills; ability to persuade, communicate vision & motivate people at every level within Walmart & partner organizations
  • Passion for serving our customers & partners & understanding their needs
  • Performs well in an environment with competing priorities, multiple projects, & a virtual team
  • Detail-oriented & strong follow-through with a collaborative working style
  • Positive, upbeat, can-do attitude. Thrives with minimal guidance & can handle ambiguity & changing requirements

Bonus Points:

  • MBA or related field preferred but not necessary
  • Online ecommerce experience
  • Basic querying skills; SQL & Advanced Excel skills a plus
  • Experience with contract negotiations & reviewing legal agreements
